Terms of Service

1. EngBolt

EngBolt is operated by Sahariar Tanaf Chowdhury as an individual sole trader trading as EngBolt. EngBolt is an engineering-careers service available at engbolt.com. It provides job listings and tracking, assessment practice, interview preparation and optional AI-assisted feedback. By creating an account or using paid features, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity performed through your account. Information you submit should be accurate enough for the feature you are using. Do not share an account to evade usage limits or give another person unauthorised access to paid features.

3. Job and career information

EngBolt is not the employer for roles listed on the service and does not control third-party recruitment processes. Job details, deadlines, salaries, eligibility requirements and external application links can change after EngBolt last checked them. Verify important information on the employer's official application page before relying on it.

4. AI-assisted features

CV scoring, interview feedback, transcription and similar features can use automated AI systems. Outputs may be incomplete or wrong and are provided as preparation tools, not as a guarantee of recruitment outcomes or as professional legal, financial, medical or immigration advice. You remain responsible for what you submit to employers and for checking important information yourself.

5. Free usage and fair use

Free and Pro usage limits shown on EngBolt form part of the service. Pro is intended for normal individual career-preparation use. EngBolt may apply proportionate safeguards against automated bulk use, account sharing, deliberate quota evasion or activity that materially harms service availability.

6. Pricing, subscriptions and top-ups

The price shown immediately before checkout is the price that applies to that purchase. EngBolt Pro is currently offered as a monthly recurring subscription at the price displayed on the Pricing page and in Stripe Checkout. Unless cancelled, it renews automatically for the next monthly billing period.

One-off CV-review and interview-feedback top-ups do not start a subscription. You can manage or cancel an active Pro subscription through the Stripe billing portal linked from the EngBolt Pricing page. Cancellation prevents future renewal according to the effective date shown in the billing portal. Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by these terms.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. EngBolt verifies payment and subscription status with Stripe before granting paid access. You must not attempt to manipulate checkout references, payment confirmations, credits, subscription status or other billing controls.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

• break the law or infringe another person's rights using EngBolt;
• probe, bypass or interfere with authentication, rate limits, payment controls or security measures;
• upload malicious files, code or content intended to compromise the service;
• scrape, automate or overload the service in a way that materially harms normal users;
• misrepresent EngBolt as guaranteeing employment, assessment scores or recruitment outcomes.

9. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give EngBolt permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure and operate the features you request, including sending relevant content to the processors described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit confidential or third-party personal information unless you are entitled to use it for that purpose.

10. Service changes and availability

EngBolt may improve, replace or remove features and may temporarily limit service to maintain security or reliability. Reasonable efforts will be made to avoid unnecessary disruption, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

11. Suspension and deletion

EngBolt may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, payment abuse or serious breaches of these terms. You can permanently delete your account from Profile. If an active Pro subscription exists, EngBolt's deletion flow attempts to cancel it before removing the account.

12. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those rights, EngBolt is not responsible for decisions made by employers, external websites, or losses caused by relying on information that a user could reasonably verify on the relevant official source.

13. Law and changes

If you are a consumer, mandatory legal protections that apply where you live continue to apply. Subject to those protections, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by updating the date shown above and, where appropriate, by giving additional notice.
